Today we are going to take a look at the Sony DPF-D80 digital picture frame. Before we go into a bit of depth on this particular digital picture frame let's take a quick look at some of the technical features of the DPF-D80.

To begin with it has a very nice 8-Inch display with a pretty good image resolution of 800 pixels by 600 pixels. For this size of display it is the image resolution that you want for optimum picture clarity. The aspect ratio of this particular Sony picture frame is the standard 4:3. This allows you to view the standard 4 by 6 digital picture without any cropping or stretching.

The Sony DPF-D80 comes with an internal memory of 256MB. This should be sufficient most anybody's collection of digital photos. This model is compataible with most types of memory cards so you shouldn't have a problem with the type of media you may already have.

A unique feature of this digital picture frame is the auto orientation sensor and auto image rotation. So whether you place it in a landscape or portrait position the Sony DPF-D80 knows exactly how to present your digital images.

It also includes a slideshow mode with 10 slideshow styles, it has a clanedar mode and 2 clock modes plus you can view an index of the photos you have stored on the frame.

One of the additional features of the DPF-D80 is the included remote control the let's you perform all of the function of the digital frame via a small and very compact remote control. The set-up is not difficult at all, as a matter of fact, it extremely easy to set-up as there are no complicated or hard operating steps.

Another great feature of the Sony DPF-D80 is it's forward compatibility with future SLR cameras as this frame can easily handle digital photos up to 48 megapixels. This not only supports existing cameras but any camera that has no yet been manufactured. SOny thought this feature through very well.
